The objective of the Network IT program is to obtain 6 technology certifications, including:

  1. CompTIA A+
  2. CompTIA Network+
  3. CompTIA Security+
  4. Cisco Routing or Switching (CCNA)
  5. CompTIA Server+
  6. Microsoft Azure Fundamentals and Administration

At the completion of this program, you are trained to manage, support, and troubleshoot information systems in a wide range of computing environments with CompTIA Server and the integrated family of server products. Additionally, the program will provide the concepts, commands, and practice required to configure Cisco switches and routers in a multi-process Internet.

This program consists of lectures, discussions, demonstrations, exercises, and laboratory projects. Students will learn and perform basic configuration procedures to build LAN and WAN interfaces for the most commonly used routing and routed protocols. In addition, students will be taught the knowledge and skills to understand the core components of securing IT assets in preparation for the Security+ certification.

Upon completion of the IT certification program, veteran students are armed with the tools to build a successful career in computer and information technology!

The entrance requirements are: Proficiency using the Windows environment and general knowledge of hardware and network concepts, but computer knowledge or experience is not required.

If you have at least 90 days of aggregate active duty service after September 10, 2001 or were honorably discharged for a service-connected disability after serving at least 30 consecutive days, then you may be eligible to take advantage of Post 9/11 GI Bill® benefits.
